Personal electronic devices from the U.S. require U.S. standard 120V, 60Hz power AC power, with a Type A (2 pin) or Type B (3-pin grounded) plug.
The mainland Europe electrical dbn is 220-240V, 50Hz:
Belgium:
Type C outlets/plugs, CEE 7/16 (Europlug 2.5A/250V ungrounded), 19mm pin separation, 4mm round pins
Type E outlets/plugs, CEE 7/7, which has a grounding pin in the outlet & the plug has the female contact for this grounding pin and 4.8mm pins
Germany:
Type F outlets - round w. 19mm pin separation, 4.8mm round contacts, 2 grounding contacts at top & bottom of edge of socket
Switzerland
Type J plug/outlet - narrow horiz. diamond, 3 uninsulated round contacts
